Wave planning is a warehouse management strategy that groups orders into “waves” based on criteria like shipping priority, carrier, or product type to optimize workflow, labor, and equipment use. Instead of picking orders one by one, a warehouse management system releases these waves to be picked in sequence, which helps streamline the fulfillment process and improve efficiency
a) Organize orders as required and assign them to a WAVE number.
b. Release the wave number to the floor and instruct RF users to pick based on a specific wave number while maintaining order priority within the WAVE.
