Ahearn & Soper Inc. is pleased to announce the release of ProVision WMS version 3.1.4, delivering enhanced functionality and greater flexibility to meet the evolving needs of modern warehouse operations. This update represents our continued commitment to providing powerful, adaptable solutions that empower users to optimize their warehouse management processes with precision and efficiency.

Version 3.1.4 introduces several key enhancements designed to improve user experience, expand system capabilities, and provide greater options across core modules.

Key Enhancements

Enhanced Billing Module Interface

The billing module has been completely redesigned with a new multi-tab user interface that transforms how billing information is accessed and managed. This intuitive layout consolidates critical data across organized tabs, allowing users to view and work with significantly more information within a single form. The result is a streamlined workflow that reduces the need to navigate between multiple screens, enhancing productivity and providing billing personnel with a comprehensive view of all relevant data at their fingertips.

Expanded Warehouse Location Group Definitions

ProVision WMS now supports extended warehouse location group definitions, increasing the character limit from the previous constraint to 10 characters. This expansion provides greater flexibility and specificity in organizing and identifying warehouse spaces across three critical categories:

  • Location Type – Define more detailed and descriptive location classifications to better represent the physical characteristics and intended use of storage areas
  • Zone Codes – Create more granular zone identifiers that support complex warehouse layouts and operational workflows
  • Work Areas – Establish clearer work area designations that align with your operational structure and resource allocation strategies

This enhancement enables warehouses with complex layouts or specialized storage requirements to implement more sophisticated location management schemes without compromising clarity or system performance.

Extended Custom Data Field Capabilities

Recognizing that every warehouse operation has unique data requirements beyond standard system fields, version 3.1.4 significantly expands customization capabilities. The following master lists now support up to 20 user-controlled custom data fields each, more than doubling the flexibility for capturing operation-specific information:

  • Customer Master – Track additional customer-specific attributes, preferences, special handling requirements, or business relationship details that are critical to your service delivery model
  • Lot Code Master – Capture extended traceability information, quality metrics, supplier-specific data, or regulatory compliance details that go beyond standard lot tracking
  • Location Code Master – Record specialized location attributes such as environmental conditions, equipment requirements, accessibility constraints, or maintenance schedules

This dramatic expansion of custom data fields ensures that ProVision WMS can be precisely tailored to accommodate the unique operational, regulatory, and reporting requirements of any installation, eliminating the need for workarounds or external tracking systems.
