Ahearn & Soper Inc. Announces ProVision WMS Version 3.1.5 with Enhanced Automation and Operational Intelligence

Major Software Update Delivers Advanced API Capabilities, Equipment Asset Management, and Intelligent Picking Assignment

Ahearn & Soper Inc., a leading provider of warehouse management solutions, today announced the release of ProVision WMS version 3.1.5, a significant software update designed to meet the evolving demands of modern warehouse operations. This release introduces powerful new features that enhance automation integration, operational visibility, and picking efficiency.

“Version 3.1.5 represents a major step forward in our commitment to delivering warehouse management solutions that adapt to the increasingly automated and data-driven nature of modern distribution operations,” said Paul Pope at Ahearn & Soper Inc. “These enhancements provide our clients with the tools they need to optimize their operations today while laying the groundwork for tomorrow’s innovations.”

Key Features of ProVision WMS 3.1.5:

Expanded API Functionality for Seamless Automation Integration Recognizing the growing role of automation in warehouse environments, ProVision WMS 3.1.5 significantly expands the capabilities of the PV API module. The enhanced API now facilitates automation for critical functions including inventory movement and order picking/shipping processes, enabling seamless integration with automated material handling systems and robotic solutions.

Equipment Asset Definition and Management Warehouse administrators can now define, and track equipment assets used for material handling within each facility. This foundational feature establishes a framework for comprehensive asset management, with plans to expand functionality in future releases to include operational hour tracking and real-time asset availability monitoring.

Revolutionary Picking Assignment Module The new Picking Assignment module introduces intelligent order fulfillment capabilities that optimize picker productivity and warehouse flow. The system seamlessly separates full pallet picking from case picking operations, directing multiple pickers to appropriate zones based on their Unit of Measure (UOM) restrictions. Case pickers are assigned to pick lines based on the cube capacity of their equipment, while full pallet pickers are directed accordingly. Designed to support both automated picking systems and traditional RF-based operations, this module represents a significant advancement in warehouse execution efficiency.

Enhanced Web Portal with Sublot Data Visibility the Web Portal Snapshot view now includes sublot data, providing users with deeper inventory visibility and more granular tracking capabilities directly through the web interface.

ProVision WMS 3.1.5 is available now to all current ProVision WMS customers. For more information, please contact Ahearn & Soper Inc.
